Discipleship Groups at St. John Neumann are Adult Faith Formation renewed! The small group seriers is designed to challenge members to learn and live the faith in deeper ways.

With new opp[oprtunities and topics each season, every parishioner is encouraged to attend the ones that meet their spiritual and scheduling needs.

We recommend that each parishioner participate in at least one Discipleship Group Series each year. Here are the 2019 offerings:


LITTLE ROCK SCRIPTURE STUDY
Little Rock Scripture Study ia an adult bible study program.
Scripture Study: The Gospel of John

Choose from one of two sessions:

• Mondays 7:00-8:30 pm
• Fridays 10:30 am - Noon

MEN'S PRAYER BREAKFAST
Every Thursday morning from 6:00 to 7:00 am, men from St. John Neumann come together for fellowship and prayer. The Men's Prayer Breakfast is hosted in Baldwin Hall where a lightbreakfast is served. We open with a prayer, then individual prayer intentions are shared, followed by a short reading, video, or reflection.

This is an opportunity to grow in your faith in Christ in an informal setting.
There is no cost for the Men's Prayer Breakfast.
All men are welcome! There is no pre-registration required. Please join us.

ALPHA
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, that typicall run through the course of ten weeks. Every session involves a meal provided by our parish and a talk. Having meaningful conversations about life and faith can be hard. At Alpha, everyone is invited to explore Christianity, ask quewstions, and share their point of view.

Series starts on January 30 and runs until April 10 on Wednrsday nights from 6:30-9:00 pm.

Cost: Free to all, including non-Catholics and non-parishioners.

Satureday Morning Book Club meets weekly starting September 7th with a kick-off event from 9:45-11 am. To discuss one or more chapters from books relating to Catholic spirituality, living good Catholic lives, or in-depth studies of aspects of the Bible.

WOMEN'S SPIRITUALITY
A small group of women seeking deep spiritual conversations in group spiritual direction with Sr. Arlene Kosmatka, OP. While there is no monthly commitment necessary, members are encouraged to attend multiple sessions.


SOLANUS CASEY CENTER PILGRIMAGE
Spend a day with the St. John Neumann family atthe beautiful Blessed Solanus Casey Center.
 

How do we maintain the momentum after attending Alpha?  How do we stay connected and continue to grow in our own faith as we help nurture the faith of others?  How do you have succeeded in embracing God’s call and changing the culture of our parish here at St. John Neumann? 
Please consider joining a Connect Group, a small community of faith, and continue the journey with others who have encountered Jesus through the Alpha Course.  Connect Groups represent mini Churches that foster a spirit of caring and support of the members through the presence of the Holy Spirit, as part of the larger parish community at SJN.

A Connect Group meets once a month at the home of one the leaders. The gathering encourages a connection that is ongoing for which the common denominator is faith in Jesus Christ.  The members will lift each other up, provide support and friendship, and prayer.
