Adult Alpha Courses are specifically for adults ages 18 and older and are run twice during each calendar year, typically beginning in January and September. There is no limit to the number of people who can attend Alpha in either the winter or fall sessions. This is a wonderful opportunity for people to explore Christianity and faith with others in a fun, social atmosphere, where each person is welcomed no matter where they are in their faith journey.
A typical Alpha session begins with a meal, during which guests have an opportunity socialize with their tablemates, getting to know each other and building trust and intimacy. The meal is followed by a video on one of the Alpha topics. After the video a dessert is served followed by small group discusssion. During small group discussion guests are encouraged to share their thoughts and opinions about the video. The diversity of thoughts and opinions lead to stimulating and thought provoking conversations guaranteed to keep guests thinking long after the Alpha session concludes.
We encourage everyone to consider joining us. Don't want to go it alone? Bring your family, friends, co-workers. All are welcome. You don't need to be a member of the St. John Neumann Parish to attend Alpha here!
For those of you who have taken the Alpha Course in the past we'd like you to know that Alpha has an all new film series. Come and see!
